2025 Concerto Competition Winner

Stella Chu (violin)
Picture
Stella Chu (12) has been playing violin for nearly 5 years and studies with Ms. Eriko Tsuji. She is in 6th grade at Santiago Hills Elementary School. Stella’s passion for music is evident in her impressive achievements, including winning both 3rd and 1st place at the Satori Music Festival over the past two years.

In addition to her violin playing, Stella loves science, cats, dragons, and enjoys writing stories about her favorite book series. She loves cycling, hiking & pogo sticking, and she is also an active swimmer with the NOVA swim team. When not practicing or writing, Stella performs with various orchestras, such as the SCSBOA, Irvine Honors Orchestra, and the Irvine Music Festival. This year, she’s excited to be part of JCM, a chamber music organization that’s helping her grow as a musician.

Stella has been playing her violin with CYOSC for 4 years, and she loves being part of this orchestra. She’s eager to return for as many years as possible to continue learning and growing. This year, Stella is especially honored to perform as the soloist in the Finale Concert with Symphony playing Chaconne in G Minor by Vitali. She’s determined to keep growing her skills and musical talent as she continues her musical journey.
