2026 Concerto Competition Winner

Bodhi Thein (violin)
Picture
Bodhi is an 8th grader at Thurston Middle School in Laguna Beach. He began playing violin in 3rd grade and has nurtured his passion for music ever since.

For the past five years, he has studied under the expert guidance of violinist and educator Ms. Jessica Haddy. He has been a dedicated member of CYOSC for four years and has also performed with his school orchestra and SCSBOA ensembles. Since 2022, he has attended Arrowbear Music Camp every summer, immersing himself in its inspiring mountain setting dedicated to musical growth.

Beyond his musical pursuits, Bodhi is an active Boy Scout and enjoys playing soccer, gaming with friends, and biking in his free time.

Bodhi values his time with CYOSC, where he has formed lasting friendships through shared rehearsals and performances. He feels deeply honored to be selected as soloist for this year's final concert—a highlight of his orchestral journey so far.
